Spicy Spinach
Here's a quicky, discovered Thursday night. This is a rip off of Panek Paneer minus the Indian cheese. Tastes like spicy warm heaven, looks like baby poo.
Spinach Poo
Needs:
Vegetable Oil
Onion
Bag O Fresh Spinach
Water
Salt
2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp (Tumeric)
Saute diced onion in a dollop of vegetable oil on the bottom of a saucepan. When the onion is beginning to go golden dump in the spinach. Cram it in. Beat it down. Show it who's boss. Pour in some water--about 1/4 - 1/2 cup to get things steaming and shrinking. When you can put the lid on, throw in Garam Masala powder, tumeric, and salt to taste. Put lid on, stir appropriately, and simmer on low until everything is good and tender.
Once tender, use the spiffy emulsifier thingy to turn it into paste.
Serve with rice and curried chicken.
(My Garam Masala powder came from Mom. She bought it in the Burlington Asian mart. I bet she could hook you up. Get you hooked. First hit is free.)

Comment subscription is great. Though I was wondering *how*? Now I know. Sneaky sister.
