Garlic scape season is nigh, Massachusetts!  Go forth, snap them up, make pesto!

I was introduced to them for the first time last year but I felt it would be unfair to post about this deliciousness after their growing season got lazy and now it's almost one year later!  Full circle!  Woo hoo!

Do you have a recipe for the pesto?

I don't have an exact recipe. Basically, it was like your basil pesto, subbing garlic scapes for basil. So blend/process a whole lotta scapes with a handful of walnuts/pine nuts, some parmesan, and add olive oil until it comes together as a pesto. Shown here over Shirataki noodles.
