THE Swedish Meatballs

 

Every year I search for this recipe, perfected and documented by Mom in Christmas of 2008, so putting this here. I've made this a few times over the years, with regular and gluten free breadcrumbs, with/without egg, always been great. This year I'm trying them gluten free with ground turkey instead of beef/pork.

3 lb. ground meat 

1 ½ C. bread crumbs

1 C. onion, chopped

1 C. milk

2 eggs

2 ½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. pepper

½ tsp. nutmeg

½ tsp. ginger

½ tsp. cloves

½ tsp. allspice

---------------------------------------

Mix all ingredients. 

Form into meatballs. 

Brown.

Freeze. 

Thaw and reheat in bouillon or chicken broth.
